Great Lakes Orthodontics

University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine Programs

Welcome UB Orthodontic Residents,

My name is Brian Willison and I am the instructor for the State University of New York at Buffalo's Orthodontic Laboratory Techniques Course. The course begins on Monday, July 8th and concludes Friday, July 19th. Please check the 2019 Schedule link on this web page for the detailed course schedule.

The Orthodontic Lab Techniques Course is a two week introductory session designed for incoming Orthodontic Residents from the University at Buffalo to develop technical skills necessary for clinical and laboratory procedures. Attendees will also learn a variety of laboratory devices that can be used alone, or in conjunction with fixed orthodontic appliances (braces). We will start the session at the Orthodontic Department of UB's School of Dental Medicine, and the remainder of the coursework will be conducted at the Daniel J. Miller Training Center at Great Lakes Orthodontics headquarters.

The only item that you will need to purchase before the lab course is a book published and available at Great Lakes Orthodontics titled: Practical Guide to Orthodontic Appliances...A Comprehensive Resource from Theory to Fabrication, authored by Dr. Stephen Warunek and myself.

Please contact Great Lakes University Representatives Audrey Jurek @800.719.2413, or Rich Burandt @800.758.1479 to order your book. Remember to identify yourself as a UB Ortho Student when ordering to
receive a special discount price.

Please take time to browse our website to learn more about our company, products, and available programs. If you have any questions regarding this session, please feel free to contact me at any time. I look forward to meeting everyone.
