For experienced technicians with above average wire bending, soldering, and acrylicing skills.
Covers common fixed lab appliances used to create distalizing forces in the posterior segment such as the Hilgers Pendex (Pendulum), Distal Jet™, and Inman Power Component (IPC) appliances.
Curriculum:
- Band placement on the model
- Wire bend framework and springs
- Soldering components
- Acrylicing, trimming, and finishing techniques
- Fabrication of Hilgers, Pendex, Lower IPC Sagittal, and Distal Jet™/IPC Distalizer
- Use and application of instruments and materials
