For technicians with limited or no previous experience.
Covers the complete fabrication of study models including pouring impressions, setting angles for various types of trims, and high gloss finishing techniques.
Curriculum:
- General oral anatomy
- Use and application of correct instruments and materials
- Modern techniques of pouring plaster to produce professional, flawless models
- Various types of trims used in the orthodontic field and a working knowledge of how to set them up on your model trimmer
- Anatomical carving, finishing and polishing plaster casts to achieve the most professional looking study models
