2 Day Course
For technicians with some knowledge of dental anatomy and occlusion.
Teaches an efficient technique for creating a wax setup. The setup model is often created as a reference for tooth positioner fabrication or a means to determine an orthodontic result. In some instances, tooth extractions may be considered, which the setup model can be used to identify arch alignment and occlusal balance of maxillary and mandibular dentitions. (Recommended to be taken BEFORE the Tooth Positioner Fabrication Course).
Curriculum:
- Review of Great Lakes "Zero-Based Occlusion" tooth setting reference
- Overview of articulator mounting with facebow instrumentation for gnathologic setup procedures
- Fabrication of pre-setup model (Combination model)
- Hands-on procedure of aligning teeth on waxed models
- Use and application of instruments and materials
