We have experienced a real evolution over the 45 years of Great Lakes Orthodontics existence. Initially founded solely as an orthodontic laboratory, in a very short time the company began to provide products and technician training to practices making the decision to fabricate removable appliances in-house. The next evolution saw Great Lakes working with restorative dentists providing thermal forming and occlusion related products as well as a variety of TMJ splints.

Today we provide state of the art thermal forming machines and an unparalleled breadth of thermal materials for both orthodontics and general dental applications. Additionally our lab is the developer and only provider of occlussal appliances using the accuracy of CAD/CAM technology, Digital Splints™.

Two years ago Great Lakes introduced an innovative clear aligner concept known as Smart Moves™ that uses a proprietary hard/soft thermal formed material that provides comfort and a cost effective system for minor tooth movement. While many other aligner providers aggressively promote their products for all types of cases we have chosen to conservatively position Smart Moves™ as a system to align only anterior teeth, ideal for orthodontic relapse or pre-restorative alignment.

It is our commitment to fully support our customers in every product or appliance we provide. The technical training of our service representatives is extensive and we continually seek the latest information from the profession to share with our customers. It is our goal to provide the most current concepts and technology without losing our ability to work one on one with our customers.
